बिनु गोपाल बैरिन भई कुंजैं।
तब ये लता लगति अति सीतल,
अब भई विषम ज्वाल की पुंजैं॥
बृथा बहति जमुना, खग बोलत,
बृथा कमल फूलैं, अलि गुंजैं।
पवन पानी घनसार संजीवनि,
दधिसुत किरन भानु भईं भुंजैं॥
ये ऊधो कहियो माधव सों,
बिरह कदन करि मारत लुंजैं।
सूरदास प्रभु को मग जोवत,
अँखियाँ भईं बरन ज्यों गुंजैं॥
Standard Bhramar-geet pad of Surdas. The draft had broken lines (कुधा, पुझे, विसुत किरण, वर्ण जो कुछे). Restored from the usual recension: the groves turn enemy when Gopal is gone; Yamuna, birds, lotuses and even the moon-rays burn; Surdas waits on the path till the eyes swell like gunja seeds.
